Description:

GlycoGel is used to exfoliate and rejuvenate photodamaged skin. Skin which is coarse and dull with areas of hyperpigmentation from sun damage, will show a significant and dramatic improvement on GlycoGel. GlycoGel removes the superficial layers of damaged skin cells increasing the production of collagen and elastin in the dermis, smoothing the skin and reducing the appearance of fine lines.

A 10% AHA (alpha hydroxy acid – glycolic acid) in clear gel form, originally derived from sugar cane.

Application:

The patient typically uses GlycoGel nightly at home, or as advised by a Beauty Therapist. 

• Ensure you patch test before use.
• Patients are instructed to apply GlycoGel evenly to the area requiring treatment. Leave on for 2-5 minutes then wash off with tepid water and follow with Herbal Spray to soothe and neutralise.
• For optimal results, the patient should receive a hydrating facial every 7-10 days while on a course of GlycoGel.
• The usual course of treatment is 6 – 8 weeks. At the end of this period, the patient is changed to a "maintenance" programme when the application of GlycoGel is stopped and Overnight Crème is applied nightly.
